Description
Nederlands: “Een radar achterop een voertuig dat niet gestempeld hoeft te worden. Waarbij software tijdens het rijden geladen kan worden. Een radar die niet op een mast staat. Een systeem dat onder bruggen door kan en in een Hercules-vliegtuig past en bovendien alles ziet.” Met die woorden introduceerde Commandant Landstrijdkrachten luitenant-generaal Leo Beulen de Multi Mission Radar (MMR). Tussen 2021 en 2024 stromen bij het VuursteunCommando en het Defensie Grondgebonden Luchtverdedigingscommando 9 van deze systemen in. “Een geweldige aanvulling voor de slagkracht van de Koninklijke Landmacht”, vindt Beulen.
